These SMS Terms and Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern your participation in the Well-Fed, Well-Read Book Club text messaging program (the “Program”). By opting in to the Program, you agree to these SMS Terms. These SMS Terms supplement, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
Well-Fed, Well-Read Book Club SMS Program (“WFWR Book Club SMS” or the “Program”), operated by Well-Fed, Well-Read Book Club (“WFWR Book Club,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
The Program sends text messages to participating users related to their book club activity. Messages may include:
The Program is intended for users who have created an account in the WFWR Book Club application and have provided their mobile phone number along with affirmative consent to receive text messages.
You can enroll in the Program by entering your mobile phone number into the signup form within the WFWR Book Club application and checking the SMS opt-in checkbox. By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile phone number provided and that you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from WFWR Book Club at that number.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of creating an account or using the WFWR Book Club service.
Message frequency varies based on your book club’s activity. You may receive messages around scheduled meetings, book selections, and other club events. We do not send a fixed number of messages per week or month.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier will apply to each message sent or received. WFWR Book Club is not responsible for any charges from your wireless carrier related to your participation in the Program. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
You can cancel the Program at any time. Reply STOP to any text message you receive from WFWR Book Club. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message and you will no longer receive text messages from the Program. If you want to rejoin the Program after opting out, you can do so by signing up again through the WFWR Book Club application.
For help or assistance with the Program, reply HELP to any text message you receive from WFWR Book Club, or contact us using the support information below. A reply to HELP will provide instructions on how to use the Program and how to contact support.
The Program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket Wireless, Virgin Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the effective transmission from your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed.
To participate in the Program, you must be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and a resident of the United States. You must be the account holder or have the account holder’s permission to enroll the mobile phone number you provide.
Information collected through the Program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your mobile phone number, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with service providers (such as Twilio) who help us deliver messages on our behalf.
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice (such as an in-app message or email). Your continued participation in the Program after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
We reserve the right to terminate the Program, or your participation in it, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.
